Archive, Studio + Creative Production, Assistant Art Director

ANNIE LEIBOVITZ

For six years I had the opportunity to work across the creative and production teams at Annie Leibovitz Studio, contributing to every stage of the creative process - from archive management to editorial editing to exhibition production, print preparation, and the day-to-day operations that supported one of the world's most respected photographic studios.

I began on the studio operations side, helping manage the logistics that kept the studio running while earning increasing responsibility across creative projects. As my role expanded, I transitioned to working more closely with Annie Leibovitz and longtime Art Director Jess Smith, supporting books, exhibitions, publications, and the studio's extensive photographic archive.

My work ranged from scanning original negatives and organizing archival material to producing contract sheets, editing image selections, preparing exhibition prints, overseeing color management, building handmade publication mockups, and coordinating print production. I also supported gallery installations, archival research, and the countless details required to move large creative projects from concept to completion.

More than anything, the experience offered a rare education in how ambitious creative work is actually made. It revealed that remarkable projects are built not only through vision, but through thoughtful collaboration, meticulous organization, and an unwavering attention to detail. It fundamentally shaped the way I think about storytelling, creative leadership, and the invisible systems that allow ideas to become reality.

Today, those lessons continue to influence my work as a creative producer. Whether developing campaigns, building visual narratives, or managing a complex creative projects, I bring the same balance of creative intuition, strategic thinking, and production discipline that I learned inside on of the industry's most accomplished studios.
